Al terzo turno, il 22enne altoatesino affronter\u00e0 l'olandese Tallon Griekspoor, testa di serie numero 25, che ha superato lo statunitense Alex Michelsen per 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (7-9), 6-4.\u00a0\u00a0Al ritorno in campo, Sinner cambia subito marcia e mette a segno il break (4-2) che spezza l'equilibrio nel primo set. Il numero 3 del mondo non concede nulla sui propri turni di servizio e chiude 6-3 senza pagare dazio per un doppio fallo nel nono e ultimo game della frazione.\u00a0Vavassori rimane agganciato alla partita in avvio di secondo set (2-2) ma cede il servizio quando Sinner accelera.
